This is your wiki. I've left some of the instructional material (at the bottom of the page) for a guide for people who want to participate and need some editing cues. Club members might enjoy using this wiki:

• as an open "forum"
• as a survey of program topics of interest
• as a place for collaboratively writing a course syllabus, a book, or meeting outline.
• to field questions about FRPCUG or comment on programs
• to heap lavish praise on the club's officers!!
• to express yourself and use your energies to refresh this going-on-thirty-year-old computer club.

It is our attitude that counts! Simply that!  We have some extraordinary people in the club for whom I have a great deal of respect. Our actions, as a club and individually to reflect well on all members. Certainly, our classes at the Senior Center do that, as do efforts of Mike Morris and Rick Mattingly who have for years published the k-Byte, planned meetings and provided programs for our club . Many other members have "put in" countless hours for the organization's benefit, and to benefit many, many students, club members, and members of the community. Short Presentation Prepared for the FRPCUG General Meeting:

I see this wiki as a very lovely "legal pad" for notes, idea development, and a method to communicate for club members... about anything, but primarily about club issues. Here I've jotted down some notes about my part of the of the meeting on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 with a short FRPCUG.pbwiki.com SHARING OF THE KEYS!

Points to cover:

• How to enter the site? Try the Navigation panel at www.FRPCUG.org! The purpose of signing in is to allow editing of your thoughts & contributions. If you'd like to leave a message and can't remember the site password, give a thought about newsletter, and/or email me for the password... If you're a member, I'll respond as quickly as possible!
• Pick a page click on the "edit page" button at the top of the page, throw down some thoughts by just typing. You'll find that it is a pretty standard editor. Leave your initials just to let us know that you visited!! It helps to know someone is lurking!
• Share your ideas about what we can do to make our club more vibrant, fulfilling, and stimulating! There's plenty of ferment in Technology here in Fort Collins! And with both Intel and AMD locating here, there's much excitement about these major competing chip manufacturers that should be very interesting!
• Editing has recently become much, much easier on this PBwiki! We no longer have to put the many tags in the text for emphasis and font changes. It works like your word processor! Try editing a page. You won't hurt anything, and it will be fun to hear from another club member.
• Please leave your name with your edit so that we can talk about your ideas. This would be a big help for program planning ideas. We schedule ahead, but not more that a few months. You can see the program topic on the "Meeting Topics" link on our web site. Be sure to read the "k-Byte" newsletter while there.

What are some of the uses for a wiki?

• Co-author articles for the k-Byte. Participate in the leadeship of the club by sharing projects that you are working on, or introduce us to someone that you've met who could provide an interesting program. Check out the templates for educational and business organizational use, available when you create a new page.
• CPU chip design is done here in Fort Collins at Intel! Who knows what the limits of miniturization are and what cause these limits to be pushed back?
• Develop Senior Center Class proposals cooperatively on the wiki! This co-operative planning on the web is becoming the RAGE!
• Plan a family vacation on the wiki and the whole club would come with you!! It's ok if you choose to use a page for your personal trial... or get a FREE wiki for your very own! All you do is sign up and your on your way.
• So, what are your suggestions about uses of the Wiki? See the suggestions that I've posted above. Don't see yours? ADD IT!!
